Back-to-back storms are headed for Southern California next week and are expected to bring some rain with them. How much rain remains to be seen - however, meteorologists say the second will be stronger than the first.A low-pressure system currently off the San Francisco coast will move toward the Southland over the weekend, eventually bringing rain to the region early next week.There is still uncertainty regarding timing but this first storm is expected to drop most of its rain in the northern part of the region beginning Monday afternoon. A singer from Van Nuys and her fitness influencer friend could be sentenced to up to life in federal prison as they are reportedly going to plead guilty to charges that they trafficked more than 200 pounds of cocaine through Alabama.Racquelle Dolores Anteola, 34, of Van Nuys and Melissa Dufour, 36, of Miramar, Florida, were arrested in June while driving on Interstate 10 in Mobile County, Alabama, according to local newspaper Lagniappe. Anteola, who uses the stage name Rahky, and Dufour, founder of a clothing brand called Sexy Sweats, were driving a Ford Expedition with Texas dealer plates from Houston to Atlanta when they were pulled over by the Mobile County Sheriff's Office. "The SUV they were traveling in had a back seat and was modified with a steel aftermarket compartment," Lagniappe reports. Authorities asked the public for help Friday in their search for a parolee suspected of arson and three mailroom thefts in West Hollywood. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Christian Wood, committed the burglaries between September 2023 and November 2023, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He also committed arson during one of the burglaries, the Sheriff's Department stated. Wood has an outstanding warrant for violating parole and is considered a "parolee at large."He has numerous prior arrests including burglary, mail theft, identity theft, robbery and other theft-related violations, according to the Sheriff's Department.Anyone with information about Wood's whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 310-855-8850. Frogs leaped into the air and swam for cover as Paul Johnson strolled toward a stream crossing, a Jeep crawling slowly behind him. As the SUV climbed into the Griswold Hills from the San Joaquin desert, it crossed the creek another five times. (KRON) -- One person was arrested for firearm violations on Dec. 11, the Hercules Police Department announced Wednesday. While conducting a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Malibu on Willow Avenue at Hawthorne Drive, a Hercules PD officer said they observed the barrel of a silver and black firearm protruding from underneath a jacket on the front passenger seat.(Photos: Hercules Police Department)The driver was then detained and a search of the vehicle was conducted.According to police, the search revealed a loaded Springfield XD-M 40 pistol.
