HAMPTON BEACH, N.H. (AP) — A small plane towing a banner landed in the ocean off a crowded New Hampshire beach on Saturday, and lifeguards rescued the pilot, who was unhurt, authorities said.The single-engine Piper PA-18 plane landed about noon off Hampton Beach, witnesses said. The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the pilot was the only person on board.Hampton Police Chief Alex Reno told WMUR-TV that the pilot was rescued by lifeguards, and wasn’t hurt.The plane has since been pulled to shore and was sitting on the beach.The FAA said it would investigate the cause of the incident, along with the National Transportation Safety Board.The Hampton Police Department and the New Hampshire Beach Patrol did not immediately respond to messages for comment.Boston Healthcare for the Homeless providing care to most vulnerable during high heat

Boston Healthcare for the Homeless teams were out in the city over the last few days as part of their mission to provide care to individuals who are living outdoors in the extreme heat.Dr, Rebecca Lee of the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program said staffers aim to provide care to those who are outside year-round and choose not to participate in the shelter program or go to a cooling center for a variety of reasons.“In Boston that means some pretty extreme temperatures,” she said of the people in Boston who live outside. In recent days the street team has been focused on helping individuals in the city who may be dealing with dehydration and other heat-related illness. SAN DIEGO -- Two horses competing at the Del Mar Racetrack have been euthanized within the first week of the 2023 season -- both after sustaining injuries during workout sessions.The first fatality occurred on Friday, a spokesperson for the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club confirmed. The kingdom and Kyiv did not immediately acknowledge the planned talks.The summit will be held in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity as no authorization had been given to publicly discuss the summit. CHICAGO — One person is dead and two more are in the hospital after a shooting that took place in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood Saturday evening, according to the Chicago Police Department.CPD said the shooting took place around 8 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Peoria Street and had three victims.A 28-year-old man was shot in the face before being taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
