DENVER (KDVR) -- It's the sheer brazenness that stands out when the Problem Solvers reviewed surveillance video of shoplifters provided by the Castle Rock Police Department.Again and again, the thieves made no effort to disguise their crimes, whether it was a couple grabbing an armload of clothes from a Polo store in Castle Rock, a trio of shoplifters taking all the sunglasses they could steal from a Sunglass Hut in Aurora or a gang of four people walking into an Ulta Beauty store in Lone Tree to load up their baskets with whatever they could carry.Other than perhaps wearing a COVID face mask, the shoplifters were not discrete about what they did and were usually in and out of the store in 60 seconds. Nearly half of Denver crime in 2023 is vehicle-related While big chain retailers tend to be the targets of organized retail theft rings, small businesses have been hit too, including the Sports Fan on Denver's 16th Street Mall.Sports apparel store hit regularly during pandemicStore o...Park Hill plan losing in Denver election, 'yes' campaign concedes

It doesn’t take much to have a day nicer than today. We had falling temperatures all day long, ending up with numbers near 40° this afternoon. Take those cold temperatures and add overcast skies and a brisk on shore wind, feels like temperatures were in the 30s for much of the day today. Ick! While the brisk wind coming off of the 42° ocean and the clouds were our nemesis today, it will somewhat be our friend tonight. The clouds and air coming off of 42° water temperatures will keep our temperatures sitting there overnight. The wind will start to back down and become fairly light overnight and temperatures basically park themselves near 40°.Now we unfortunately have some changes to the forecast for tomorrow. I still think it will be a nicer day for everyone, but I don’t know 70° is in the cards anymore and definitely not on the coast line. This is all thanks to the warm front that is currently parked down to our south. It’s all set.The most intriguing first-round matchup in the East, a series that will center around a juicy storyline — the summer of Donovan Mitchell — and represent a chance for New York to advance to the conference semis for the first time in a decade. There’s still plenty of time before Game 1 of the No. 5 Knicks against the No. 4 Cavs in mid-April, but it’s also the only thing worth discussing as the remaining meaningless regular season games finish. Here’s an early look at the five things to watch in the series, starting with the obvious:TO MITCHELL, OR NOT TO MITCHELLFair or not, the series will serve as an indictment on the trade that didn’t happen. We don’t need to rehash the entire saga, only that the Knicks wanted Donovan Mitchell and watched him go to Cleveland. Since then, Mitchell further ascended into one of the league’s best guards — a strong candidate for First Team All-NBA — and averaged over 28 points....Latest news
