If you thought Saturday’s heat was oppressive, prepare for more, and possibly warmer, temperatures this week.Saturday’s high was 91 but the heat index — what it felt like — reached 98, said Mike Greisinger, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Twin Cities. That was 10 degrees above the norm, he said. The heat didn’t go far, just a bit south, he said, and now it’s starting to head back toward the metro.By Tuesday, the mercury will climb as high as the upper 90s and possibly higher on Wednesday. “We’re keeping a closer eye on Wednesday,” he said. “At the very least it will be in the upper 90s, but 100 isn’t out of the question.”On Sunday, the National Weather Service issued an excessive heat watch from Tuesday morning through Thursday evening for large portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin, including Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota and Washington counties. The heat index could reach 107, and the risk of heat-related illnesses is projected to be significantly higher.Looking back...‘A tough night for the Lynx’: Uninspired Minnesota falls 88-74 to Storm

You know, there’s countless games that we’ve said this about. So, we don’t get it. We don’t get how to have a special season,” Reeve said. “We don’t get that you have to win your home games to have a special season. We don’t get that when you just beat a team on their floor how they’re going to come out and play. We don’t get it.
