PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- Human remains were discovered in Wahconah Park on Tuesday morning. The Pittsfield Police Department says the remains are in an advanced form of decomposition. HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Road work got started last week in Hudson Falls last week - and is now likely to take longer to be completed than first expected. GREEN ISLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two Troy men were arrested following an investigation into reported thefts in the Village of Green Island. Green Island Police say both larcenies happened on October 2. Police received reports of damage to an ATM inside the business and that over $2,000 was stolen from the machine.Police were then notified that a trailer containing two ride-on lawnmowers and miscellaneous tools were stolen from Repair Track Services on Cannon Street. The combined value of stolen property was estimated to be over $20,000.Michael Monge, 39, and Robert Melendez, 42, were taken into custody following the execution of search warrants. ST. LOUIS - A school bus scared away a group of would-be robbers Monday afternoon in south St. Louis, thwarting an attempted armed robbery. It all unfolded just before 4 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Victor Street and Nebraska Avenue in the Tower Grove East neighborhood. Dead tree is a big problem for elderly St. Louis homeowner Investigators say the victim, a 13-year-old boy, was walking near the intersection with a phone when four people in a blue-colored sedan approached him. One suspect came out of the car, held the victim and gunpoint and demanded his phone. Moments later, a school bus pulled up behind the suspects' car, and the group rushed away from the scene. Police did not report any injuries, stolen items or arrests from the situation. At least two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, were injured in a training accident and fire at Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic Tuesday morning, officials said.The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. at the facility located at 29320 The Old Road, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Pitchess is among the buildings located at the North County Correctional Facility. It is unknown exactly what occurred that led to the injuries, but initially officials said at least four people, including two who were confirmed to be deputies, were taken to a hospital in unknown condition. At one point, officials said "several" deputies had been injured. The L.A. County Fire Department also responded to the scene and firefighters were trying to put out a trailer fire at the facility, aerial video from Sky5 showed.No further details about the incident have been released.Check back for updates on this developing story.Latest news
