Police are searching for a thief after surveillance cameras captured them raiding mailboxes at a neighborhood in West Miami-Dade. In August, the suspected thief raided another set of mailboxes in the same neighborhood. “He comes in, he looks around, he goes around the neighborhood, he parks over here, he brings a crow bar, opens them up and takes them all,” said a neighbor. The neighbor who lives in the Enclave neighborhood keeps most of his business out of his mailbox, but knows that others have taken a hit. So far, one Halloween costume and crates full of mail have gone missing. “And also checks that people were waiting for,” he said. “Credit cards.”The items were taken from the mailboxes at SW 87th Path and Third street, Wednesday morning. “The car was driving around, a pick up truck, they don’t have anybody around. In a swift and daring theft, criminals got away with half a million dollars worth of jewelry, only to be caught red-handed by a concealed Ring security camera. The incident unfolded early Saturday morning at Mint Jewelers by Boodaddy Diamonds in Hollywood. “I’m still listing everything but it’s close to about half a million dollars,” said store owner Christopher. The burglars gained entry by breaking in through the roof and using sophisticated equipment to avoid security cameras.“They had this big jamming device, like a bomb almost, with 15 antennas and it was plugged into my alarm system and then they cut all the wires,” said Christopher. Christopher had a clever ace up his sleeve, however, a concealed Ring camera discreetly positioned in one corner. Unknown to the suspects, their entire heist was meticulously documented on camera. By the time they became aware of the camera, their fate was sealed.“[At] 5:13 a.m., one of the guys noticed the ...Ukraine sues Poland, Hungary and Slovakia over import bans

Ukraine has filed lawsuits against Poland, Hungary and Slovakia at the World Trade Organization over their decision to ban grain imports, in a row that has split the EU and could hurt Kyiv’s prospects of joining the bloc. “It is fundamentally important for us to prove that individual member states cannot ban the import of Ukrainian goods. That is why we are filing lawsuits against them in the WTO,” First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko said in a statement.Svyridenko added that the lawsuits, together with pressure from the European Commission and other member states, “will help restore normal trade between Ukraine and neighboring countries, as well as show solidarity between us.”The decision comes after the three countries rebelled against a European Commission decision last Friday to end temporary import restrictions — implemented in the spring in an attempt to mitigate a supply glut — and once again allow Ukrainian ...Surveillance video shows car crash into parking lot in Brockton

The Bruins have a large hole in their leadership group with the losses of Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci and Nick Foligno. It is a good bet that Brad Marchand will replace Bergeron as captain, but he’ll need other people to step up for a team that has seen a lot of turnover.David Pastrnak, seemingly the forever-young little brother of the leadership, will no doubt be asked to take a larger role in that department. While it’s still rare to see Pastrnak without a smile on his face, he’s not exactly the same happy-go-lucky kid he was when he arrived here in 2014. He is a veteran of 592 regular season NHL games and another 77 playoff games. He’s only the second Bruin to hit the 60-goal plateau (Phil Esposito being the other) and he’s about to be paid handsomely for it, with his new eight-year contract that will pay him an average annual value of $11.25 million about it to kick in this season.Pastrnak, who arrived in Boston on Sunday night and participated in ...Latest news
