As another Tuesday approached, so, too, did another foreboding storm, promising at least some of the same menace as the two previous ones to whip through the region.“We’re gonna see the winds increase,” National Weather Service meteorologist Rick Canepa said Monday afternoon. “We’re gonna see more rain. It’s going to be cold. And you’re going to see it along all the coastal sections from Sonoma County all the way down to Monterey County, into the Santa Cruz Mountains and along the East Bay Hills.“All of the locations in the region will see similar conditions.”Lately, if it’s a Tuesday in March, a nasty weather system is swallowing the region.On March 21, a furious atmospheric river storm clobbered the Bay Area, ushered in 70 mph winds and killed five people. SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- The vehicle involved a deadly hit-and-run involving a mother and her young daughter in San Jose has been found, but the suspected driver has not, the San Jose Police Department confirmed to KRON4. Suspect identified after hours-long standoff in Gilroy Police say the vehicle was found just outside of the city's limits on Monday. The car is currently being examined by detectives and processed for evidence, police said. "With the vehicle in custody, it is only a matter of time until the suspect is identified. We are advising that the suspect turn themselves in now." -- San Jose Police Department The crash happened on Sunday evening just before 7 p.m. when a mother was walking with her daughter and dog. Police said a 2000 Honda sedan possibly driven by a female was traveling west on Blossom Hill Road when it hit the woman, her daughter and their dog, who were crossing the street. (KTXL) — An 11-year-old girl Fairfield girl died days after being hit by a suspected drunken driver, according to the Solano County Coroner. Fairfield Police said the girl was on East Tabor Avenue, near Grange Middle School, around 8 a.m. Thursday when she was struck by an SUV. Teen arrested after allegedly leading Sacramento County deputies on pursuit in stolen car First responders took the 11-year-old girl to the hospital where she remained in critical condition. The coroner’s office confirmed her death on Monday. She was identified as Terra Star Jackson.The driver of the SUV was arrested as police suspected she was under the influence. MOSS LANDING, Calif. (KRON) -- A days long search for a missing 7-year-old boy ended on Saturday when recovery divers assisting the Monterey County Sheriff's Office found his body in Moss Landing. The body of the boy's mother was recovered in the water two days earlier. Suspect identified after hours-long standoff in Gilroy California Recovery Divers is a non-profit team that assists with drownings. The group has extensive sonar technologies and search techniques for underwater. Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer on Monday said the district attorney should either lead the case on her own or turn it over entirely to another prosecutor.Baldwin and movie armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed have pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
