(KTLA) - Family members and friends are sharing their memories of a Southern California couple killed in a shooting at an EDM festival in Washington state over the weekend.Josilyn Ruiz, 26, and Brandy Escamilla, 29, both of whom were from the Los Angeles area, were attending Beyond Wonderland near the city of George on Saturday night when a gunman opened fire on a crowd in an area where people were camping, authorities said.Josilyn Ruiz (left) and Brandy Escamilla were killed when a gunman opened fire at an EDM festival in Washington state on June 17, 2023. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Temperatures dropped to their coolest readings in a week and a half thanks to severe thunderstorms on Wednesday evening.Fredericksburg reported a 59 mph wind gust from the storms, while small tree limbs were reported broken by gusty winds in Hye and Twin Sisters (Blanco Co.), and in parts of Austin.Over 2 inches of rain fell in Lockhart and 1-2" fell in parts of Austin and the Hill Country. ALBANY, N.Y (NEWS10)- A fire broke out at a home on the 300 block of Second Ave Wednesday evening. Firefighters arrived at approximately 6:40 to a fire spreading in the rear of the structure.The fire quickly spread up the back staircase into the second floor. Chief Gregory tells NEWS10 that the fire was especially stubborn due to the layers of roofing. Two firefighters were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries, along with one civilian with a non-fire related medical issue. ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Fire Department says it’s nearly done inspecting abandoned homes that can be death traps for firefighters. One of those vacant properties recently collapsed onto a family’s property, where FOX 2 found interesting ties to a high-profile business.It’s happening at a group of row houses on Howard Street in north St. Louis, most of which are vacant. A teenager who was already in police custody was rebooked on Tuesday for murder after he was implicated in a Long Beach man's shooting death back in January.The 15-year-old male suspect, who was already in custody for a weapons violation, was rebooked for the murder of 30-year-old Jaevion Tasby, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement. Tasby was shot on Jan. 8 in the 900 block of Daisy Avenue in Long Beach and succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.Authorities are still determining a motive for the shooting, but they believe that Tasby was specifically targeted.
